Talking Tenure
Joining a new orchestra can be lonely, disorienting, and overwhelming.
It’s a time when your skills — as an accomplished artist, a savvy communicator, and an astute colleague — are tested to the limit.
Elizabeth has a deep, intimate understanding of this process and decades of experience supporting and guiding musicians through this critically important period in their lives. While the majority of Elizabeth’s clients now come from fields outside of the arts (click here to visit her main coaching page), she reserves time to work in depth with a select number of highly motivated musicians who wish to move through the tenure process with greater ease and confidence, and who want to thrive in this demanding field.
What musicians have to say about Elizabeth’s support during their probation period:
“If you’re a musician going through the tenure process, here’s what I want to say to you: You do not need to do this alone. Probation in an orchestra, or starting any new job for that matter, is difficult. It is completely normal and healthy to want help.
With Elizabeth you will find no better champion for who you want to be. She was my partner, and we made an amazing team. Her highest aim will be to empower you, and she will work with who you are — your unique gifts, challenges, opportunities, and idiosyncrasies. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
